How the overall score out of 100 is calculated for each product and each shop

Every product and every shop gets an overall score out of 100. It combines three parts, shown separately on each page. The formula is the same for all brands, including the one owned by the site's publisher.

Verified data, 40% by default. Calculated by the site from information that can be checked.
Customer reviews, 40% by default. Averages taken from third-party sources, with their date.
Editor's score, 20% by default. The editor's experience, with a written justification.

Verified data

For a product: lab certificate (35 points, only if we have verified it; a brand's own declaration earns nothing, and a certificate under 12 months old adds points), THC within the country's limit (20), unit price compared with the median of the same type, using the cheapest recent offer (25), origin stated (5), composition or batch stated (5), the brand's analysis policy (10).

For a shop: legal notice visible (20), delivery and return terms in writing (20), certificates published (25), link to third-party reviews (15), number of countries served (10), secure payment (10).

Customer reviews

We collect by hand the averages published on Google, Amazon, Trustpilot and the brand's own website. Each average is converted to 100 and weighted by the number of reviews, capped at 500 per source. Reviews on the brand's own website count for half and are labelled as such. Under 20 reviews in total, the page says "not enough data" instead of a score. Sources older than 12 months are ignored. We never copy review texts.

The editor's score

A score from 0 to 100 entered with a justification, a date and a basis (for example personal experience). The "tested" label only appears if the product has actually been used. The default weight is 20%, never more than 50%. If a part is missing it is left out and the others are rebalanced.

Independence and compensation

This site is published by Big CBD Product. The publisher also runs a shop whose products are listed here. All brands are scored with the same formula, with no special treatment. Affiliate links carry the "sponsored" attribute in the code and do not affect the scores. A sponsored analysis would be labelled "sponsored" and would change neither the score nor the rank.

Freshness and limits

Every price shows its check date: after 14 days it should be re-checked, after 30 days it is hidden. This site makes no health claims. The information is not legal advice: check the rules in your own country. Hemp products for non-food use, adults only.
